How Teens Can Get Physical Exercise Without Playing Sports

When some people think physical exercise they think sports. Think sports: basketball, football, lacrosse, track, etc… Well, that’s not all physical exercise is. It can also be things we do in our daily lives.

There are many different ways to get physical exercise without sports or the gym. You could easily volunteer as the dog walker in your family. Also when you are out of town take the stairs not the elevator at the hotel. Or just go get the mail. See? there are many different ways to get exercise with out making a huge commitment.

Why does this all mater? Well, because with school and homework we are sitting down a lot. So we’re not running around as much as we did when we were five. We also have lots of choices at our age choosing what we eat and we must run it off some how.

Therefore you don’t have to play sports to get physical exercise.

Race For The Cure

This past weekend I participated in the race for the cure race. I walked the 5k with my dance studio/team. It was a great experience. I loved having my friends there with me.

I had an amazing time with my friends. It was my first time doing something like this, and I must say I had a blast. Since I was with my dance friends we did a tilt(type of kick) in front of the Capital.

My Favorite Place

If I had to name my favorite place in my house I would say my room.  To be more specific my bed is my favorite part of my room.  While I lay on my bed I can see the entire room almost that is.

 

I plop on my bed, and lay on the smoothest sheets I have ever felt.  It pulls me in every time.  Now how am I supposed to get out?  There is barely any way I can resist the temptation to stay in bed, yet I do every morning.

 

It is funny when I have school I get out of bed quickly, but when I don’t have I just lay there.  You would think it should be the other way around.  I guess I do like school though.

This past weekend I went to Kansas City.  In Kansas City my grandma, Grandpa, two of my cousins, my aunt, uncle, my mom, dad, my sister, and I went to a chiefs football game.  

While the players were warming up I got to be on the side lines it was a wonderful experience.  At the game we helped set the record for loudest stadium roar at 137.5 decibels, it sure was loud.  Once the game was over we knew we had won and that put us at 6-0 on October 13,2013.  I am proud to say that is one of the coolest football games I have been to.

Hey everyone I thought I would share are paragraph of the story I am writing so here it goes.

“My turn” Paige demanded.
“My 5 minutes aren’t up yet” Lucy responded.
“How about we each get 2 minute turns, okay.” Paige suggested.
“Hey girls can you throw your laundry down the shoot. Thanks” the mom asked.
